Rapid advancement of high-speed network and multimedia technologies makes the virtual environment a realistic and ubiquitous framework. Many new and innovative application fields including tele-medicine, virtual museum, electronic library, e-learning, industrial design, and entertainment are realized by using computer graphics, image processing, high-performance computing, and ubiquitous sensing technologies. The VENOA-2016 is the 8th international workshop to serve as a forum for exchanging information and ideas on the fields of virtual environment and network-oriented multimedia applications. This workshop will be held in conjunction with Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems (CISIS-2016) International Conference to be held at Fukuoka, Japan. The workshop seeks original contributions in all relevant areas, including but not limited to the following topics.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit research and application papers following the conference's proceedings manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the format guidelines and get the template file at the following web page:

The papers should be written in English and the length should not exceed 6 pages (including figures and tables). Submission of a paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in the conference. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Please make your submission papers in PDF file format and submit to the CISIS-2016 online submission system at:

Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.

Accepted papers will be published by the Conference Publishing Services (CPS).
